Meet Whimsy Owner

Growing up, Traci's parents loved shopping at small boutiques and antique shops. Her love for vintage items and creating beautiful things really became her own while she was in college. She would rent spaces in other boutiques and sell her refinished home decor, furnishings and antique items. 

When Traci's sister was getting married, they were having a difficult time finding vendors who could create the look they were seeking. Traci ended up doing much of the wedding decor and floral arrangements herself. So many people loved the wedding and began asking Traci to do theirs as well.

Soon after, Traci realized that if she wanted to do events, such as weddings, she would like to bring in the boutique aspect of it as well. She decided to open her first shop, Whimsy, where she sold her home furnishings and antiques, and also advertised her events. Whimsy's first home was Morris, IL.

Whimsy outgrew the first location and moved just down the street in Morris to a larger location where Traci could bring in more clothing and home items her customers came to love. Recently, Whimsy opened up a second boutique in Uptown Normal, Illinois. Both locations offer unique home decor items, vintage furnishings, clothing and accessories!

Whimsy has become a store for all ages. Offering unique and beautiful items at affordable prices!
